Note:
Nowadays, a new fixed point of the Baumé scale is defined with highly concentrated sulphuric acid at 66 °Bé, so that today 66 °Bé conform to a density of 1,842. But for the conversion to SI units must be considered if the specific weight to be specified is lighter or heavier than water and if the older Baumé (rational Baumé), Dutch Baumé, or American Baumé are meant as unit. Furthermore, the unit °Bé is also used for must density, with the relation, that must with 10 °Bé makes a fully fermented wine with approximately 10% per volume alcohol.
